Since the passing of Rush Limbaugh, I have been tuning in to Dan Bongino’s radio show and Clay Travis & Buck Sexton’s EIB replacement show. Both shows are great and first class and informative.
However, I have found myself more drawn to The Dan Bongino Show. Having been a fan of Bongino for some time, I love his out-spoken passion for American Exceptionalism and his public speeches have been legendary, substantive and right on point.
For nearly 30 years during times of trouble and challenges facing our great Republic, I would look forward to tuning in to the great Rush Limbaugh at noon to hear his perspective on the current events and reassure us…his audience…that everything was going to be okay. We would get through it with God’s help.
I find myself doing the same thing with Bongino. I really appreciate his perspective and political instincts. I appreciate his out-spoken defense of American Exceptionalism. I appreciate his reassurance that although “we all are going to need to take it on the chin for a bit” we are going to get through this…just like Rush would tell us.
My opinion of Bongino being America’s true replacement for Maha Rushie was cemented this week when he told Cumulus Media that they could not have him and vaccine mandates…even though he is vaccinated:
“You can have me, or you can have a vaccine mandate, but you can’t have both,” Bongino said. “I grew up without a lot of money. … I’m not leaving those guys behind.”
Do not get me wrong, Travis and Sexton are great American patriots and are doing a superb performance in the cause of defending American Exceptionalism. I think a small reason for my initial leaning toward the Dan Bongino Show over the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show may be the daily reminder that we will never hear Rush live on the airwaves this side of heaven. And on some days, that is still a little too much to bear.
There will never be another Rush Limbaugh. However, I am more comfortable (and look forward to) tuning into Rush’s de vacto replacement’s talk show. We are living in some of the darkest times America has faced during the past 100 years and Bongino’s voice of reason and reassurance is exactly what is needed for a time such as this.
Be sure to tune in to The Dan Bongino Show from Noon-3pm EST.
