Dorothy L. Tash

March 1, 1941 – July 28, 2025

Chester – Dorothy L. Tash, 84, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, after a period of declining health. Dorothy was born in Pattagumpus, ME on March 1, 1941, the daughter of Everett and Harriett (Manchester) Harmon.

Dot’s legacy as a devoted wife to Emden of 65 years, mother to her eight children, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother will be forever missed.

Dot’s life was devoted to caring for her husband and her family, whether it was cooking Grammie’s Spammies, banana bread, no-bake cookies or a pot of macaroni, she didn’t let anyone go away hungry.

Over the years, her and Emden spent time camping during the summer and dancing at Happy Acres in the winter. They both enjoyed watching the Red Sox, salmon fishing (Dot always out fished Emden) and in the later years it was side by side rides, crossword puzzles and her Dunkin Donuts coffee.

Dot is survived by her eight children Kurt (Julie) Tash of Howland, Rhonda (Lynwood) Dill of Woodville, Emden Jr. (Lauri) Tash of Chester, Alden Tash (Michelle Hasey) of Chester, Mandy (Edward “Biggy”) Violette of Chester, Angela (Clyde) Tibbetts of Lincoln, Everett Tash (Hillary Martin) of Chester Brad Tash (Brianna Curtis) of Chester; fourteen grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson and another great grandchild on the way; her siblings Jane Ruffley and her husband Kenny of MA, Connie Thompson and Fred of Howland, Barbara Later of Hampden, Evelyn LaBelle of Milford, Everett Harmon and wife Dottie of Belgrade and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Emden; a grandson, Braddock Violette and a sister, Mary Tash.

Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 8:30-9:30AM at Bowers Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln, ME. A Funeral Service will be conducted by Bill Chesley at 9:30 AM at the funeral home and interment will follow at South Chester Cemetery.
