SAN FRANCISCO, CA – In yet another example of rules for thee but not for me, San Francisco Mayor London Breed has recently been caught violating her own COVID-19 masking rules at a local nightclub.

Breed was caught on video dancing at a liver performance featuring Tony! Toni! Toné! at the Black Cat Club on Thursday. She was dancing maskless.

By her own city health order, indoor performances require guests to keep masks on unless they actively eat or drink. She said during a press conference that she was drinking at the time that the video was taken.

“My drink was sitting at the table,” Breed said. “I got up and started dancing because I was feeling the spirit, and I wasn’t thinking about a mask.”

She also criticized those who were calling her out for breaking her own rules, saying, “We don’t need the fun police to come in and micromanage and tell us what we should or shouldn’t be doing.”

The rest of the club must have been “feeling the spirit” too because no one else was on video wearing a mask.

Despite what she expects everyone else to do, she said, “No. I’m not going to sip and put my mask on, sip and put my mask up, eat and put my mask on. While I’m eating and drinking, I’m gonna keep my mask off.”
